THE FMS DEMONSTRATION TOUR 2017

LIGHTHOUSE will be conducting a roadshow demonstration tour of laser-based FMS Headspace Analyzers. All demonstrations will be conducted on-site at your facility and will follow the agenda outlined below:

Demonstration (2 hours)

  • A science-based approach to your application of interest
  • Industry case studies: wide applicability of headspace testing for applications in development, QC, and production

 

2.  System Demonstrations available

  • Container closure integrity testing applications with headspace analysis
  • Simultaneous vacuum and moisture determination in sterile freeze-dried vials
  • Headspace oxygen monitoring for product in vials, ampoules, bottles, and syringes

Headspace Analysis for Development, QC and Production Applications

Rapid non-destructive headspace analysis is a powerful analytical tool for gaining insight into sterile processes, primary packaging material and components, and the quality of sterile finished product. As a rapid non-destructive analytical method, laser based headspace analysis can provide unprecedented insight into the various stages of aseptic processing and into the quality of the finished product. Other applications that can be addressed include:

  • Monitoring headspace oxygen consumption of oxygen-sensitive formulations
  • Monitoring permeation of oxygen through packaging materials
  • Detection of oxygen ingress as a result of poor container closure integrity
  • Determination of active water in a sealed container
  • Rapid non-destructive lyo product moisture determination
  • Quantitative determination of vacuum levels to ensure good closure integrity and appropriate product reconstitution

The non-destructive nature of the method allows for efficient studies and there are no waste disposal issues, saving potentially valuable product for further analysis. JOB CODE: Lab Manager              

EFFECTIVE DATE: August 1, 2016                                                   

Position PURPOSE:

The Lab Manager will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Lighthouse measurement services laboratory.  Coordinate daily contract projects with the laboratory staff, managing, maintaining and enhancing the laboratory quality system, working with senior management to develop the measurement services business.  

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Coordinate measurement services, feasibility and other laboratory projects

· Manage laboratory staff (conduct performance evaluations, mentor, coach, and train lab staff)

  • Review lab reports and documents for customer projects

· Write, maintain and control lab SOPs

· Participate in technical writing projects

· Perform experimental investigations on customer samples using Lighthouse spectrometers

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

· Reports to President

· Interacts with Technical Support Representative, Research Scientist, Laboratory Technician, Application Engineer

REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS, MS or PhD Physical or Life Sciences

· 4+ years experience

  • Regulated laboratory experience
